What is the process for designing invitations?
Invitations are a prelude to the ambiance of the event. Prior to designing the event or wedding invitation, we encourage our clients to prepare a budget (invitations and postage is usually 4% of the event budget). Since the wedding invitation design is intricate, four to six months in advance is ideal.
First, an initial consultation is required. At this time, we will discuss themes, graphics, fonts, text, and paper. We will work within your budget to provide you with professional quality invitations.
Next, we will customize your order to match your style or personal theme. Once the design is selected, a 50% deposit is required along with a signed contract.
Finally, you will be sent a copy of the proof. After all the corrections, additions and edits are made and final approval is given, printing will begin.
What are your prices?
Our consultants are available to advise and recommend a stationery package that is unique to your event or special occasion. Each invite is personalized in fees relative to the quantity requested, turnaround time (rush orders will incur an extra fee), and special features (inserts, color photos, etc).
Do you ship?
At Exquisite Designs we understand the importance of satisfying the customer. Thus, if you are in the Chicagoland area, we will deliver the finished product. However, if you are outside of the Chicagoland area, we will ship via FedEx or UPS. Exquisite Designs will not be held liable for shipping delays caused by natural disasters, weather conditions, and/or errors on the part of FedEx/UPS. To avoid such catastrophes, we advise shipping invitations 6-8 weeks prior to the event.
Turn Around Time?
Turn around time varies with production, quantity, and design. Rush orders can be expedited, additional fees may apply.
Printing Options?
We offer letterpress printing and digital offset printing. But, thermography printing gives your invitation the raised letter effect and is not as expensive as the traditional engraved print.
Return Policy?
We guarantee our workmanship. Any defect in workmanship will be replaced immediately at no cost to the customer. However, Exquisite Designs will not be held liable for any misspelled words or errors, once you have given your final approval for printing.
